*Ages are a guide only. Placement in classes will be at the discretion of the instructor during placement week (First week of classes).
Pre Ballet: An exciting introduction to dance class with the use of fun and wonderful age appropriate music. The dancers are introduced to basic dance moves in Ballet.
Ballet Technique: Students will focus on building the strength, flexibility and control needed to execute ballet moves. Each class will emphasize barre exercises and may also include a combination of center floor work and across-the-floor combinations.
Stretch & Strength: Develop a dancer’s athletic flexibility and graceful physique with this workout that combines with mat work and body sculpting moves.
Leaps & Turns: This class concentrates on the technical aspects of leaping, jumping and turning by teaching a series of jumps, leaps and turns while focusing on weight and direction changes. Students will develop balance, strength, elevation and body alignment.
Adult Barre: Develop flexibility and strength through stretching and conditioning as well as barre exercises. Beginner level, no previous dance experience required.
Jazz: In this class, students will experience a high energy atmosphere, where they will work on their technique, stamina, flexibility, and coordination.
Lyrical: In this emotional class, students will learn to use their life experiences to make a personal connection through movement with the lyrics of music.
Tap: In this class, students will be studying the tap syllabus of Al Gilbert. Tap will challenge their musicality, and coordination by learning to create rhythms using their feet.
Hip Hop: In this fun and upbeat class, students will learn both the history and basics of various styles of HIp Hop including street, popping, locking, vogue, wacking, house, and even a little bit of break dance.
Variety: Students will learn to embody characters and emotions through upbeat, Broadway-style jazz dancing.
